Previous Design Work
In the ten years that Rob was Project Architect in the offices of Gora/McGahey Associates inArchitecture, he was part of a long line of memorable buildings that dot Southwest Florida. The varietyof building types and styles ran the gamut from the ultra contemporary office building addition for Chico’s World Headquarters to the classic Mediterranean Revival styled furniture store for Robb & Stucky in Naples. The designs were a response to the specific site factors and the clients desire to extend a certain look or message. The SunTrust bank building on Sanibel was designed to fit in with the island character.
Likewise the Suncoast Schools Federal Credit Union was given a bold geometry and simple detailconveys a striking appearance from the fast moving traffic of Summerlin Boulevard.
The contemporary styling of the South Lee County Regional Library was a renovation of a low-slung inarticulate single story bank office building.
The H.R.S. building in LaBelle was designed as a cheerful multiuse clinic and health department. (Interior view of H.R.S. building)
