In a region such as ours many counties do not require a home to comply with most building codes, with the exception of electrical and septic.  With no building codes, there is no one inspecting the home during its construction.  Most homeowners do not know what to look for in terms of proper construction of the structural, plumbing, HVAC or proper water proofing aspects of a new home.  When these homes are sold the new home buyers quickly discover that a home inspection is worth every dime.

A home is one of the most expensive purchases one can made, so it’s important to find out the condition of your investment. I personally understand the uncertainty and anxiously associated buying a home. You’ll have questions like; Is the roof flashing still good? Are the beams, columns and other parts of the structure adequate? Are the wood decks safe or could it pull away from the wall? Is there enough insulation in the attic? Do all the electrical devices work properly? Is the furnace and A/C safe and working as intended?
